In 2009 we aim to...
English
- Implement our 'English Learning Checklist' across the school
- Continue to implement our 'Assessment & Monitoring Framework' across the school
- Continue our public speaking competition initiative later in the year. A new date will be organised soon.
- Lead a cluster public speaking competition later in the year.
Mathematics
- Implement our 'Mathematics Learning Checklist' across the school
- Implement our 'Assessment & Monitoring Framework' for Mathematics
- Participate in the District Mathematics Challenge
Science
- Continue to hold our annual Science Fair and Science Competition in Term 3
ICT
- Continue to focus the school webite as an integral communication & information tool
- Utilise interactive whiteboards in classrooms across the school
- Conduct a school 'ICT Showcase' in Term 4
Facilities
- Finalise the first stage regeneration of the school environmental area
- Finalise the painting of buildings (external) atound the school
- Construct covered walkway to Prep 1 building
Strengthening links with the school community
Involve families in:
- Education sessions around the early learning of reading, speaking and numeracy processes to enable children to make the transition into school from home
- Academic opportunities in public speaking & science competitions
- Various sports days
- Consultative implementation of school wide policies & initiatives
Invole the community in:
- Under 8's Day
- Education sessions around early learning
- Transition programs for Prep
Support our P&C Association through:
- Participating & organising specific events planned for this year.
- Participating at working bees during 2009
