Our investment in ICT infrastructure... We have invested in excess of $125 000 in 2007 into upgrading our school's computer infrastructure. Much of our cabling and wiring has been upgraded allowing us to 'future proof' as much as possible. In 2008 we continued to invest a further $37 000 as we introduced the new Managed Operating Environment (MOE). These investments are on top of our annual computer replacement program of approximately $10 000.

Our investment in teacher professional development... Our staff undertake regular professional development in ICT. Each teacher has worked hard to earn an 'ICT Certificate' in 2008. This is a recognition of basic computer skills. Identified teachers will soon work towards a pedagogical licence. This recognises their sophisticated skills and talents with ICT.
ICT to support 'personalised' student learning... In 2009, our school has adopted a personalised student learning program called Mathletics. It has been purchased for every student in the school from Prep to Year 7. This program will support students as they take on maths challenges at their personal level. The program is unique in that the class teacher can also directly manage student learning content. This program will supplement the wonderful classroom mathematics programs already employed by teachers across our school.
ICT Student Showcase... Each year in Term 4 we have an ICT Showcase where selected student work is displayed. These works include digital photography, digital movies or other displays using ICT. Keep an eye on the school calendar for details.
Communication with families... The school website is designed to be the point of truth for our school, encompassing school policies and communication. We endeavour to keep our information about school policies, activities and events up to date and detailed. We keep electronic records of all school newsletters and notes to families on the site for family reference. We will phase out paper newsletters from June 2009. They will still be available upon request but we encourage all families to utilise the electronic version instead, thus saving printing costs and the environment.
